IN CHILDREN'S EYES
I began to write a new chapter in my life on October 12, 2003 – when I completed my first marathon.
That event planted the seeds of change within me and when I was planning my 40th birthday in November of 2004, I used that occasion to tell my friends and family about a charity I was starting to give back to my community.
While visiting a friend in Florida in March of 2005, I experienced another influential moment in my life when I attended a grassroots event. It was a celebration, fundraiser, and memorial on a community level and I was deeply moved by the concern and compassion of everyone involved.
The world we live in today is filled with many wrongs, however my compassion and concern lies in children who have been or are still abused in many, but especially in sexual ways. The mission of IN CHILDREN’S EYES is to stop the assault on innocence and youth. To educate the public about various signs of abuse, encourage those who witness such crimes to report, and to support those who are victims of abuse.
IN CHILDREN’S EYES will offer assistance to various programs and organizations that exist as safe havens for those in need. Please support us in any way you can, as we venture out into a world where we can actively create change around us, rather than shaking our heads and assuming that others will take responsibility.
