This was also my motivation in August 2010 for taking part in the VIII. Gay Games in Cologne and for asking for donations for the IN CHILDREN’S EYES endowment fund to support projects.

Last year, it was not about running a marathon but the challenge was to swim 200m IM (individual medley)! I trained for almost two years and learned the necessary swimming skills as well as I could. It was one of the most exciting moments to eventually stand on the starting block: My appeal, the noted as well as the announced donations kept me motivated to fight for my personal best any second (04’11’’). It was my first swimming competition ever! And it was worth the effort definitely. We were able to support the following projects:
